why do girls play such a passive role in this analogy? Why are girls always the ones that are waiting.. waiting..waiting for some boy to pluck them out of their misery.
The fact of the matter is… that the boy doesn’t climb to the top of the tree to meet expectations… more like the apples move closer to the ground as they lower their expectations knowing that there is no one to meet them.

Sadly there are more people who rip your heart out than there are to put it back again. The solution to this problem is never to let your heart be so easily taken in the first place, or rather let your heart fall into a million little pieces so no one can ever break it again. People too often wear their hearts on their sleeves for anyone to maul and trample on. Be cautious, don’t run blindly, and keep a lock on your heart.

No way… Barbie and the Birds
It’s Melanie from “The Birds,” an Alfred Hitchcock film. What a character to imortalize in the Barbie Hall of Fame who almost died in the attic because she failed to… open the door. How pathetic. Seriously Barbie, you could do better.
